Geocaching is a real-world, outdoor treasure hunting game using GPS-enabled devices.(Most cellphones will work) Participants navigate to a specific set of GPS coordinates and then attempt to find the geocache (container) hidden at that location. This is a great way to explore the outdoors with the whole family!How to start: Register for a FREE Basic Membership at www.geocaching.com Visit the "Hide & Seek a Cache" page. Enter your postal code and click "search." Choose any geocache from the list and click on its name. Enter the coordinates of the geocache into your GPS Device. Use your GPS device to assist you in finding the hidden geocache. Sign the logbook and return the geocache to its original location. Rules of Geocaching:  If you take something from the geocache (container), leave something of equal or greater value. This rental pass provides visitors unlimited day-use parking access to state park facilities within the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation that charge a parking fee. The pass is available to Stoughton Residents and must be picked up and returned back to the Stoughton Recreation Department. Rental of this pass is FREE! Join Stoughton Rec and Stoughton Youth Lacrosse for the Mini Knights Lax program! This class is for pre-k (4) through 1st graders and will teach them all the basics of lacrosse. It is a perfect introduction to the sport and is great to get your kids up and running around outside. Masks are required and group size is limited.This program is full, if there are enough people on the waitlist we will run a second program!

Join fitness instructor/trainer Mary Coulter-Bennett for a gentle cardio workout Halloran Park! Move at your own pace for a low impact standing workout to music you want to move to! Class will include cardio, strength, balance and flexibility for a full body workout. Bring water and wear clothing layers to adjust to weather and temperature. Masks should be worn to class and social distancing will be practiced during the workout.All participants will sign in at the beginning of each class and will need to sign a waiver at their first class. Class will be canceled in inclement weather. The program is open to individuals ages 7-14 and we welcome all skill levels. Class includes instruction on stick-handling, passing, and shooting and each day will end with an organized street hockey game. Also included is Sauce Toss, a fun game similar to cornhole, but with hockey sticks!  No equipment required, just need sneakers and a water bottle. The program will be run by Jay Thebado. Jay is a Stoughton resident and coaches hockey at the Stoughton Ice Center. Masks required

Your car is talking to you all the time- learn how to listen to what it is saying. Do you have a new or young driver on the road? Or maybe just want to know more about your vehicle? Join B&D Auto, Mike Varner and Stoughton Rec for a FREE program! Join us for discussion on the importance of warning lights, noises and sounds that may occur while driving a vehicle. We will cover basic things you should know how to do in a wide variety of "what if" scenarios. Do you know what to do if your check engine light flashes on the highway? How to change your tire, jump your battery, or other basic safety measures for your car? Join us for this hands on approach to basic car maintenance. Folks will get the opportunity to get their hands dirty and learn all of these basics

All three sessions are FULL! If you are still interested, add your child to the waitlistTinyTykes is an exciting program focusing on the development of children aged 2 – 5 years old.  British soccer experts and child development professionals have designed an innovative curriculum that introduces your young soccer stars to the basic skills needed in soccer as well as developing their motor, social, and psychological skills. Tiny Tykes coaches are experts at working with young children and will combine soccer with fun games; stories and music that keeps your children entertained and enthused to return next week. Each child will receive a Tiny Tykes official soccer uniform and soccer ball to keep by the the last session of the program.All coaches will follow Stoughton and MA guidelines for covid-19. This includes wearing masks, social distancing, regular hand washing, cleaning procedures and more. Along with the physical aspect of class, there will also be time for discussion to feel supported in a community setting. This class is for babies 6 weeks to pre-crawling and his/her caregiver

Join us for a new program focused on getting teens outside and having fun! Learn about the plants and animals living in our backyards, geocaching, how to navigate through the Bird St Conservation trails, and make meaningful connections with peers while getting outdoors. We will be completing a variety of team building activities and teens will leave feeling like confident leaders in their community. This program will not meet during inclement weather and there are no makeup dates. Join fitness instructor/trainer Mary Coulter-Bennett for a gentle cardio workout Halloran Park! Move at your own pace for a low impact standing workout to music you want to move to! Class will include cardio, strength, balance and flexibility for a full body workout. Bring water and wear clothing layers to adjust to weather and temperature. Masks should be worn to class and social distancing will be practiced during the workout.All participants will sign in at the beginning of each class and will need to sign a waiver at their first class. Class will be canceled in inclement weather. Hydrodipping (also known as immersion printing or water transfer printing) is a unique art form that allows you to apply marbled patterns to almost any three-dimensional object. Popular things to hydrodip are water bottles, tumblers, phone cases and more. We'll provide a canvas for everyone to hydrodip and we encourage kids to bring anything from home they'd like to try in addition

Join the Knucklebones crew for our beginner skateboarders class. The beginner class requires little to no experience and teaches fundamental skateboarding tricks and skills.
